Our Story

Our mission is to enrich the lives of members of the community through the sport of tennis. Through coaching, motivation, and education, adults and juniors will learn to play tennis and also become healthier, more physically fit and mentally strong. Slammer Tennis World was founded by Marvin Tyler in April 2003 to motivate and educate people through the game of tennis. Slammer Tennis World offers a variety of affordable indoor and outdoor tennis programs for kids and Adults! Slammer Tennis World operates after-school junior tennis programs in Land O Lakes, FL year round, and offers a summer tennis camp for kids ages 6 to 16 years old in Stamford, CT only in the months of June and July.

We host Tennis Jamborees which are a fun and exciting way to introduce kids to the game of tennis. We also offer several USTA sanctioned Level 7 Junior Tennis tournaments in Land O Lakes, FL and Stamford, CT. Last, but not least, we offer private, semi-private and group tennis lessons for adults and juniors. Slammer Tennis World has been developed on personality, teamwork, knowledge, work ethic, dedication and determination. We want to show both juniors and adults that tennis is a fun, healthy, life-long sport.

Slammer Tennis World is also an active organization member of the United States Tennis Association (U.S.T.A) and a registered organization provider with USTA Net Generation.
