Marvin Tyler raised the money to refurbish the tennis courts at the Community Youth Center (CYC) in his hometown of Emporia, VA; the tennis courts had not been touched in over 40 years. It was important to Marvin that the kids in his hometown of Emporia, VA had new and safe tennis courts to play on. The President of the Community Youth Center and the Mayor of Emporia, VA honored Marvin by naming the newly refurbished tennis courts after him.
